Indieplant at Altersonic Noorderslag

Indieplant at Altersonic Noorderslag

18 january 2018

On thursday the 18th of January, Indieplant hosted a musical evening at Altersonic Noorderslag in Groningen. The event was hosted by Pinguin Radio in De Drie Gezusters (The Three Sisters) in Groningen, where on all days of Eurosonic Noorderslag, there were performances of new and upcoming talent, on all five stages in the complex.

Indieplant invited the following acts to the stage:

Nancy Kleurenblind & De Zingende Roadie did a two-person space-disco-CasioSA1-beats-pop gig in Dutch, with blazing bass guitar riffs and an impressive LED show. Ow, and with lots of smart humour.

Nostalgic, dreamy and with a serious tone, Faradays from Utrecht played a cinematic indie-pop gig. The band has recorded with producer Simon Akkermans (Binkbeats, Bombay, Mister and Mississippi) for several singles.

Rock with a pop sauce. Get ready for Stillmode! With influences from a broad range of 70s and 80s music and with catchy singles like ‘Outside World’, these guys know how to bring down the house!

Expect an energetic and exiting electronic-acoustic act by Chaos Club. Inspired by The Prodigy, Daft Punk and Pendulum, this duo brings a diverse range of musical styles to the stage, with beat orientated club vibe.

Unfortunately Jessy Yasmeen and her indiefolk act could not make it because trains were not running from Rotterdam because of the storm. The week after Altersonic Noorderslag, she played at Paradiso. In Jessys Place, we asked Toy Car Taxi to play some songs and even though most of the band were late because of the delayed trains, the singer performed an impressive acoustic set.
